Thanks to everyone who joined us for one or more of the tree id programs in June and July.
Thanks to those of you who helped us schedule our next meeting of the Forest Makeover program. Based on your input, our next meeting will be Tuesday, August 31st. This program will be a field tour of a forest management at the Matthews State Forest. We will break into small groups and look at proposed forest management recommendations (for both hardwoods and pines). Please bring questions with you.Meeting Time and Place: We will meet at the Matthews State Forest Office at 5:45 pm to take full advantage of the daylight.
Following the program, the DOF staff will serve a meal, and present an update on the forest makeover program to date.
